What’s Your Story? We’d LOVE to tell it.

We want to tell your story!

DESTINATION DOWNRIVER WOULD LIKE TO FEATURE LOCAL PEOPLE AND PLACES THAT HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA.

Become part of a movement that’s helping to change the narrative about Downriver by telling us your stories in connection with the people, places and ideas that inspire you about this region.

Nobody knows Downriver better than all of you who’ve lived and breathed the changes and opportunities that happen almost daily throughout this region. Storytelling is powerful because it creates an emotional connection between the teller and the reader. Effective storytelling increases engagement between our region and those who aren’t familiar with this area.

What makes a great story? Memorable experiences are all about stories – stories about your community and the cultural traditions, stories told by locals, and stories about your unique experiences that deserve to become part of a visitor’s travel itinerary.

Good stories can help people feel as though they’re sharing your experience in person and how it’s different from other, more familiar places in Michigan.

Sharing your emotions and feelings will help others build deeper connections with the people and places from your own Destination Downriver experiences.
